Do Something

I can't believe the world we live in. We used to believe in the right to live, now we have the death penalty and abortion. We fight over so many issues that we call controversial. What makes it 'controversial', it's not like we have to divide everything right along a nice straight line. When has there ever been a simple solution, never, so why do we look for a simple solution over these complex situations. I'm sick of sitting and watching the world fail to change, we need to change it. I know this world will only become more corrupt until He returns, but why don't we fight to make a difference for the time being. The simplest things can make a difference so start there and work your way to make a better world. My breath catches each time I consider the many things in this world that just are disappointing to the Lord. Let's make Him smile.

For once I just want to make a difference, for once I just want to try and make the world better instead of solely focusing on me and my issues. I challenge us all to do something, trust the one and only God, who is unstoppable, and just go for what He is nudging you to do. For me, it would be to use my gift of writing to write a term paper and a story. To show people that He can and will fight all battles with you, if you only would ask. It's so important to ask for His help so that He can help you move mountains. I want every light to shine, I want everyone to try and do His will. Just mention His name to someone, just speak up for Him, just do something for and through Him.

There should be nothing preventing you from doing His will. I'm an introvert and I still fight to find a way to defend Him. I may not be the most outspoken, but I try my hardest to speak life, even if it's only to the ones nearest to me. I have a bracelet with the verse Matthew 19:26 and I wear it all the time to remind me that the truth is anything is possible with Him. Start simple and work to do something big even step outside your comfort zone. The more often you step outside your comfort zone, the more comfortable you will be outside your zone and the bigger the impact will be.

I was baptized on crutches because I felt Him nudging me to, so when I stepped outside my comfort zone and stood in the spotlight to proclaim His name I felt and saw the ripples it caused in others' lives. When I stay in my comfort zone I see the ripples, but it's so much brighter when you take that chance. So do something!
