God Deserves Love

Happy weekend! I hope July has been a great month for you so far. This week's blog post is much shorter (but still meaningful).
Sometimes we get so caught up in our daily lives that we forget to say the most important words. We forget to tell God that we love Him. I know it’s simple, but I feel that these are some of the most important words we can say to Him.
I feel like we forget that God should be loved. He loved us first and I know that showing love to others is a form of showing love to Him, but it’s important that we tell Him. He doesn’t need us to say that we love Him, but I feel like we need to say that we love Him. Not just to show Him love, but to remind ourselves that He is the reason why we are here today and to remind ourselves how greatly He has loved us.
I feel like we should also be saying that we love Him when we ask Him to use us, because it shows God that we care about His plans. It shows Him that since we love Him we don’t want to betray Him and that we want to walk through the fire to reach Him.
Showing Him love back is one of the greatest expressions of gratitude we can show. He has given us everything and no matter how much gratitude we show Him, it doesn’t cover how important He is and what He should mean to every Christian and every person, love covers it more than gratitude could.
It seems so simple to say that we love Him, but it is so important. It should be a major part of our lives, because we can not tell Him that we love Him enough times to express how awesome He is and how grateful we are for Him.
There is no limit to how many times our love should be shown to Him after all, we wouldn’t be here without Him.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for another wonderful week on this beautiful planet. Thank You for the air in our lungs. Thank You for every person on this planet.
Lord, please help us to grow in our faith this week. Lord, we love You. Lord, help us to use the time we have on this earth for Your glory.
Lord, You are so great. In Your name, Amen.
