He is risen!!!! Happy Easter everybody!
It's the beginning of a brand new week! I am amazed and excited to say that last week, without realizing it, I reached my tenth blog post.
So it's snowing outside on Easter, which isn't the best, but it is peaceful. Peaceful like the morning when the women went to the empty tomb of Jesus. The other great thing about the snow is that when the sun is shining I'll want to appreciate it that much more.
That's the crazy thing about Colorado, the seasons don't really mean much, but instead in Colorado we get to have a greater appreciation of the sun a lot more often because the sun will come out and soon afterwards the snow will be back. Each time this happens, it feels like we are starting fresh, with a new chance to go outside and appreciate the glorious sunshine.
Although I hate the snow, I've got to say that it has some perks. One of the best things is that's an ongoing joke with some people I know about how I love a game that is played on ice, hockey, yet I am not a fan of the snow; I always get a laugh at this. Another thing is that the plants need water and it's free watering. I also have to highlight that I can stay inside without receiving a discussion about my lack of Vitamin D, or the fact that the backyard is dirty.
There are way too many things to enjoy about the snow, but I often focus on my hatred for it. So let's challenge each other to focus on the positive things about every single situation, because there is good in everything, you just have to stop moping about and search for that reason to smile, and then smile.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the snow. Thank You for saving us through the death of Your one and only Son, Jesus Christ. I am grateful that I can change my attitude by forcing myself to see the positives that You have set before us. I am so glad to get to write and that others get to read and feel encouraged by my writing. Lord please use my writing. Please help us all to reach more people especially now, but I feel like we need to do it even more in our daily lives than we have been. Lord help us all to reach out and change the world. In Your beautiful name, Amen.
