Never Without a Friend

Happy May!!

One of my favorite parts about being a Christian, is that no matter where you go there will be an automatic friend, because you will always have Christ as a friend and you will be able to find another Christian. Christianity is so widespread, which means you will find family in almost any place around the world.

The sad thing is a lot of Christians are either closet Christians or live life under the facade of being a Christian.

A closet Christian is one who would hide their beliefs in order to be part of the "in" crowd; they hide their beliefs to be popular. I would not include anyone who has to hide their faith in order to gather in His name as a closet Christian.

A person who lives with the facade of being a Christian is essentially the opposite of a closet Christian. They live their life acting like a Christian in public, but in the depths of their house they besmirch His name and have no real relationship with God; they put on a show for others, but as soon as they get home God is dead to them.

I don't want to fall into either of these categories or any of the other categories of being a Christian, except for being a true believer in my home as much as I am on the streets. I want people to see me as a Christian, I don't want a doubt in anyone's mind that I believe in God, the Creator, and the One who sent us His Son to save us.

Like I said earlier, Christ is your friend as well. That means we need to build a relationship with Him.

Everyone thinks of Christianity as a religion, but it is more than that. It is a relationship with God.

God wants us to choose to tell Him about our lives and ask for help instead of simply providing it because He knows we need it. To me the relationship between Christ and I is the most important part of Christianity.

The new section of the website will be here soon!! It is looking like I will blog every other week and post in that section the other weeks! Sign up to the email list to get a sneak peak!

Prayer:

Lord, we are all facing a tough battle, but now is the time to change what type of Christian we have been being. Lord, give us the strength to challenge ourselves to become better followers of You. Thank You for breath and life. Thank You for the many blessings we take for granted. Lord, You have done so much for us, thank You.

Let us run into Your open arms and feel Your sweet embrace. Lord we want to lift You high everyday, but especially on the Sabbath. You have provided us with a day to rest in Your love. Thank You! Amen!
