To Really Know Someone

Happy weekend!

I see on a daily basis people being fake or showing their top moments of their life, but this isn’t a person, it’s a highlight. If we want to see who a person is, we have to go deeper, we have to take the time to be real ourselves and then people will want to be real with us. People are scared to make the first move, but we can’t be scared of making the first move because nobody else is going to do it first.

As Christians it’s hard to tell people who we really are because the world shuns us and we want to fit in. When we fit in, we aren’t being genuine and we are telling God that the world is more important to us than living for Him. The world is not as important, being a child of God is the most important thing that we can proclaim on this earth.

We need to spend time around people who are willing to be genuine, because it’s so easy to slip into being fake if we spend our time near those people. Spending time with people who choose to show who they really are is important because we can understand how they do it and then do so ourselves. The people who are genuine are refreshing and help us to choose to do that as well.

We can’t be fake with God and our ultimate Judge, so why do we settle for being fake if nothing and nobody on this earth can harm us anywhere near as much as God can. He can decide your eternal future and we can hide nothing from Him, but the people of this earth can’t choose our future and yet we hide everything from each other.

The world wants us to be false, because what God does on the outside is nothing compared to what He does on the inside, so let’s wear that with pride. Let’s show people how God has transformed us from the inside and not just the outside because anybody can claim to be a Christian on the outside, but the real ones can prove it with what’s on the inside.

What God does, creates testimonies and stories for us to share the importance of the gospel and believing in Him. These pieces of ourselves help others to understand the inward change along with the outward change. I’d rather show people the inward change than the outward change, because what happens on the inside is more valuable and powerful.

Our stories are proof to others that we have grown and changed. It depicts just how important God is in our lives. Let’s spread our stories for the whole world to hear because the whole world needs to hear these stories and testimonies of how amazing our God is.

Let’s show the inner effect in order to help others to change. Let’s be different in how we act, because God wants us to be. We need to stand out in order to help others see the importance of God.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for yet another week on this earth. It is amazing to see your hand in this earth. Thank You for helping others to know who Christians are, by having us stand out. Thank You for all the things You have blessed us with, this week and in our entire lives. Lord, You have poured out so many blessings upon us from having internet to the ways we can keep living.

Lord, please help us to grow in You this week. Please give us the strength to be genuine. Lord, please help us in learning and understanding things of this earth and the people on this earth. Please allow us to have a great week and please fill us with joy.
