What you Need

Have you ever thought that you don't deserve what is happening to you? Maybe you feel that right now as everyone's world is being flipped upside down. Well, the thing is we really don't deserve anything.

God decided to give us life. He blessed us with making this world and us and everything we know, and yet we continue to ask for more. We want better, but what we want and what we need can be very different.

God decides what we need and what He wants us to have, and we need to accept that; but it's hard to accept that. We feel like we are losing control when we accept that God is in charge, but we aren't losing control, we are just giving credit to our Provider. It's difficult to realize how little we truly know, but at some point we have to accept it, and maybe even embrace it.

When you are stuck in traffic and you are panicking because you think that you're going to be late, wouldn't it just be nice to know that it's not your decision to be late, God chose for you to be late. He might have saved you from an accident by allowing you to be late, whether or not that's the answer for why He wants you to be late, it doesn't matter because He is in control of your life. Now, just because He's in control, that doesn't mean you should purposefully go back to bed even thought it's time for you to get up; it means that you need to accept when there is nothing that you can do and just let His peace and joy overflow.

It is time to stop fearing Him being in control and starting fearing yourself being in control. He is making everything a masterpiece and without Him we would destroy ourselves. In Matthew 19:26 it says, "With God, all things are possible." and I believe that it should also say that without God everything is impossible.

Sometimes it will feel comforting to know that God is in control, but other times you will want to rip the driving wheel right out of His hands like in the cartoons. No matter what, He will be in control, it's your choice to have joy or refuse to see anything but the problems that are piling up against you.

While we don't deserve what we have been given, God wants us to make the most of it. He wants us to take our blessings and show others His love, no matter if they want to accept it or not, no matter if a person has been cruel or kind, no matter if we are facing the biggest battle we have every faced, no matter what He wants us to love. He wants us to spread the Gospel and make disciples for Him. He wants us to do everything for the glory of Him and live without regrets.

Live your life without regrets, by following Him and doing His will, because by doing His will there is nothing to regret. Today is the day to follow Him, to stop living in sin without forgiveness, and start living the life of the forgiven.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for being in control. It is a great struggle to realize that I am not the one driving the car, but it is a great blessing to stop fighting Your will and surrender my life to You. Lord, I don't want to have any regrets and to be wasting time thinking what if, instead I want to see what it is like to live in You. Day in and day out I want to be with You on my good days and my bad days. Help me to reach others with Your love and help them to reach others as well. Thank You for all You have provided me with, and I can't ask for anything more, because You have given me everything. I want to trust You to fight and protect me in the midst of the storm, because You are in control and You control everything. Help those around the world that feel like they are lost in the storm, please give them strength and help them to lay everything at Your feet. I know I don't deserve this breath that You are giving me, but You are giving it to me, so I will use it for Your glory. I ask that You would bless all those around the world that are trying to get Your word out, please help them as some places still persecute Your followers. Please help us. In Your wonderful, gracious and powerful name, Amen.
